The First 30 Days

Our essential workshop designed to give your student the knowledge and skills they need to pivot from high school to college successfully. Dr. Thom will help students make a successful transition to college by enhancing their social-emotional capabilities time management skills, study habits, and brain health. This workshop is comprised of four sessions.

Manage Your Time Well

Did you know that most people allow their to-do list determine their schedule, but the highest performers ensure that their mission and vision are what drive their calendar. In this workshop, Dr. Thom will leverage the latest neuroscience and philosophy to help your student develop a workable mission-focused schedule that promotes flourishing in college and all aspects of life.

Brain Health 101

You are (mostly) your brain, so you should take care of it! As a health neuroscientist, Dr. Thom has a deep understanding of the importance of proper brain hygiene for optimal performance. Students in this workshop learn how to integrate brain-health enhancing habits into everyday life so that they can perform up to their potential.

The Resilient Student

Adapted from Dr. Thom's popular collegiate course, “Stress and Flourishing,” this course will provide your student with the ability to monitor their own stressors and develop neuroscience backed strategies for mitigating the negative effects of stress.

How to Study 2.0

Most students never learn how to study at the collegiate level (hint: re-reading doesn't work!). In this workshop you’ll learn how to leverage the cognitive neuroscience of learning in order to promote more efficient study habits that are sure to lead to better performance and longer lasting learning.
